เมื่อวันที่ 21 ตุลาคม 2569 นายวัฒนชัย นิรันดร อุปทูตฯ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมัสกัต ได้พบหารือกับ ดร. รุสดี ตาเห หัวหน้าศูนย์ภาษาอาหรับและศูนย์อัลกุรอ่าน คณะวิทยาการอิสลาม มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานีและคณะ ประกอบด้วยผู้แทนผู้รับใบอนุญาตโรงเรียนเอกชนสอนศาสนาอิสลามในสามจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้และอาจารย์จากมหาวิทยาลัยอัซลัน ชาห์ มาเลเซีย เนื่องในโอกาสเดินทางเยือนโอมานเพื่อพบหารือกับ เชคอะห์มัด บิน ฮะมัด อัล คอลีลี มุฟตีใหญ่แห่งรัฐสุลต่านโอมาน เพื่อหารือเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษา โดยเฉพาะภาษาอาหรับ การพัฒนาเยาวชน การจัดฝึกอบรมและการจัดส่งผู้เชี่ยวชาญระหว่างกัน ตลอดจนแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเกี่ยวกับการอยู่ร่วมกันในสังคมพหุวัฒนธรรม

ในโอกาสดังกล่าวอุปทูตฯ ได้กล่าวต้อนรับคณะ โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยินดีให้การสนับสนุนในส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษา การพัฒนาเยาวชน พร้อมทั้งกล่าวถึงแนวทางการดำเนินนโยบายต่างประเทศของโอมานที่ให้ความสำคัญกับความเป็นกลาง การเจรจา และการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างสันติ

On 21 October 2026, Mr. Wattachai Nirandorn, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Muscat, met with Dr. Rusdee Taher, Head of the Arabic Language and Al-Quran Center, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus together with his delegation comprising of representatives of licensed private Islamic religious schools in Thailand’s three southern border provinces and lecturers from Sultan Azlan Shah University, Malaysia. On the occasion of their visit to Oman to meet with His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalili, the Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, to discuss ways to strengthen educational, particularly in Arabic language education, youth development, training programmes, exchanges of experts between Thailand and Oman, including exchanging views on promoting peaceful coexistence in multicultural societies.

On this occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. welcomed the delegation and expressed the Royal Thai Embassy’s readiness to provide relevant support to promote cooperation on education and youth development. He also highlighted Oman’s foreign policy approach, which places importance on neutrality, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence.
