ก่อนจะเดินทางไปเยี่ยมคารวะผู้ว่าการเขตปกครองโดฟาห์ร่วมกับเอกอัครราชทูตกลุ่มประเทศอาเซียน เอกอัครราชทูตได้เป็นเจ้าภาพงานเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำหารือราชการกับนายอะหมาน หมัดอะดัม ผู้อำนวยการ การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) สำนักงานดูไบ และเจ้าหน้าที่ที่เดินทางมาร่วมออกบูธประชาสัมพันธ์การท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์และสุขภาพของไทย รวมทั้งจัดงาน Amazing Thailand Health & Wellness Networking Dinner วันที่ 23 กันยายน 2568 ที่โรงแรม Kempinski Muscat โดยมอบหมายนายเอกอรรถ ทิตาราม อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษาเข้าร่วมแทน งานดังกล่าวประสบความสำเร็จในการแสดงศักยภาพของไทยในบริการทางการแพทย์และสุขภาพ โดยมี รพ. และคลินิกของไทยเข้าร่วมนำเสนอและสร้างเครือข่ายกับบริษัทนำเที่ยว บริษัทประกันสุขภาพ และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องของโอมาน

 

ต่อมาวันที่ 25 กันยายน 2568 นายแพทย์ภมรศักดิ์ เธียรประสิทธิ์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร โรงพยาบาลสุขุมวิท ซี่งเดินทางมาร่วมงาน OHEC ได้เข้าพบหารือกับเอกอัครราชทูตเกี่ยวกับการดำเนินธุรกิจของศูนย์กายภาพบำบัดของโรงพยาบาลสุขุมวิทซึ่งเปิดให้บริการในกรุงมัสกัตตั้งแต่ต้นปีนี้ 2568 ซึ่งการนำเข้าอุปกรณ์ได้รับความช่วยเหลือเป็นอย่างดีจาก Invest Oman และขอบคุณเอกอัครราชทูตที่ได้ช่วยผลักดันติดตามกับฝ่ายโอมานในเรื่องการขอมีถิ่นที่อยู่ในฐานะนักลงทุนเพื่อสามารถทำธุรกรรม ขณะนี้อยู่ระหว่างดำเนินการด้านเอกสารเพิ่มเติมกับฝ่ายโอมาน

 

โรงพยาบาลสุขุมวิทเลือกลงทุนในโอมานเป็นประเทศแรกในตะวันออกกลางเนื่องจากมีชาวโอมานเดินทางไปใช้บริการที่ประเทศไทยเป็นสัดส่วนมากกว่าจากประเทศตะวันออกกลางอื่น ๆ รวมถึงเห็นว่าโอมานมีความมั่นคงปลอดภัย โดยศูนย์ฯ มีนักกายภาพบำบัด 7 คน และมีแผนที่จะเพิ่มจำนวนพนักงาน โดยศูนย์สามารถรองรับผู้ป่วยได้เต็มศักยภาพ 26 ห้อง

 

เอกอัครราชทูตได้แนะนำการพบหารือกับฝ่ายต่าง ๆ ของโอมานในโอกาสต่าง ๆ ที่เดินทางมาโอมานโดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตพร้อมประสานให้ล่วงหน้า รวมทั้งแจ้งให้ทราบเกี่ยวกับการหารือระหว่างเอกอัครราชทูตกับกระทรวงสาธารณสุขโอมานเกี่ยวกับโอกาสความร่วมมือระหว่างโรงพยาบาลไทยและโรงพยาบาลในเมืองซาลาลาห์ ซึ่งฝ่ายโอมานมีนโยบายพัฒนาให้เป็นเมืองศูนย์กลางการท่องเที่ยวทางการแพทย์และเชื้อเชิญความร่วมมือจากต่างชาติ รวมถึงโอกาสสำหรับโรงพยาบาลไทยที่จะร่วมเป็นผู้บรรยายเพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ความเชี่ยวชาญ นวัตกรรมและบริการทางการแพทย์ด้านการรักษามะเร็งในงาน World Cancer Congress ซึ่งสมาคมต้านมะเร็งแห่งโอมาน จะจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 3 – 6 พฤศจิกายน 2568 ในกรุงมัสกัต ซึ่งเป็นประเด็นทึ่เอกอัครราชทูตได้หารือกับโรงพยาบาลไทย 10 แห่งที่มาร่วมงาน OHEC

 

โรงพยาบาลสุขุมวิทเห็นด้วยว่าเป็นโอกาสที่ไทยจะแสดงศักยภาพและแสดงความสนใจที่จะพิจารณามีผู้แทนเข้าร่วม รวมทั้งแสดงความสนใจจะมีความร่วมมือกับโรงพยาบาลและบริษัทประกันของโอมานในการส่งตัวผู้ป่วยไปไทย รวมถึงสนใจขยายการลงทุนไปในเมืองอื่น ๆ ของโอมานในอนาคตด้วย

 

On 22 September 2025, H.E. Ms. Warunee PAN-KRAJANG, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, attended the opening ceremony of the Oman Health Exhibition and Conference (OHEC), held from 22–24 September 2025 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center. The Ambassador met and discussed with representatives from 10 Thai hospitals, specialized clinics, wellness centers, and Thai medical equipment companies participating in the exhibition.

 

Before the Ambassador joined the group of Ambassadors and CDAs of ASEAN embassies traveling to Salalah to pay a joint courtesy call on His Highness the Governor of Dhofar, the Ambassador hosted a working dinner for Mr. Ahman Mad-adam, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Dubai Office, who came to Muscat to participate in OHEC and to organize “Amazing Thailand Health & Wellness Networking Dinner” on 23 September 2025 at the Kempinski Hotel Muscat, in which Mr. Ek-att Thitaram, Minister Counsellor, participated while the Ambassador was in Salalah. The event was a great success in showcasing Thailand’s potential in medical and wellness services, with Thai hospitals and clinics presenting their services and building networks with local Omani travel agencies, health insurance companies, and relevant organizations.

 

On 25 September 2025, Dr. Phamornsak Thienprasiddhi, CEO of Sukumvit Hospital, who also attended OHEC, met with the Ambassador to discuss the operations of Sukumvit Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Center in Muscat, which opened since early 2025. The importation of medical equipment for the center was facilitated by Invest Oman. He expressed his appreciation for the Ambassador’s support in coordinating with Oman side regarding his investor residency in Oman, which is currently under process.

 

Sukhumvit Hospital chose Oman as its first investment destination in the Middle East due to the relatively high number of Omani patients seeking treatment at the hospital in Thailand, as well as Oman’s stability and safety. The center in Muscat currently employs 7 therapists, with plans to expand its staff to its full capacity - to accommodate up to 26 patients at a time.

 

The Ambassador expressed her readiness to facilitate meetings between the hospital and relevant Omani agencies for future visits. She also shared her discussion with the Omani Ministry of Health about potential cooperation between Thai hospitals and hospitals in Salalah, which the Omani side aims to develop into a regional medical tourism hub through international partnerships. The Ambassador highlighted an opportunity for Thai hospitals to participate as speakers to showcase their expertise, innovations, and advanced medical services in cancer treatment at the upcoming World Cancer Congress, to be organized by the Oman Cancer Association during 3–6 November 2025. The Ambassador has been sharing these possible cooperation between Thailand and Oman to Thai hospitals.

 

The CEO saw the event an excellent opportunity to demonstrate Thailand’s medical excellence and expressed interest in sending representatives to attend. The hospital also showed interest in establishing partnerships with Omani hospitals and insurance companies for patient referrals to Thailand, as well as expanding its investments to other cities in Oman in the future.
