เมื่อวันที่ 21 กรกฎาคม 2568 นางสาววารุณี ปั้นกระจ่าง เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมัสกัต พร้อมด้วยคณะข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ร่วมกันดำเนินกิจกรรมจิตอาสาบำเพ็ญสาธารณประโยชน์ เพื่อเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เนื่องในโอกาสวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 28 กรกฎาคม 2568 นำอาหารและสิ่งของจำเป็นสำหรับผู้ป่วยเด็กมอบเพื่อมีส่วนร่วมกับกิจกรรมสาธารณประโยชน์ขององค์กรท้องถิ่นของโอมาน แก่บ้านพักผู้ป่วยเด็กโรคมะเร็ง Dar Al Hanan (Home away from Home) ภายใต้สมาคมต้านมะเร็งแห่งโอมาน Oman Cancer Association (OCA) ซึ่งเป็นบ้านพักชั่วคราวสำหรับผู้ป่วยมะเร็งเด็กในต่างจังหวัดโดยไม่จำกัดสัญชาติ พร้อมบิดามารดา/ครอบครัว เพื่อให้การเดินทางมารับการบำบัดรักษาโรคมะเร็งในโรงพยาบาลกรุงมัสกัตอย่างต่อเนื่อง เป็นระยะตามที่จำเป็น เป็นไปได้สำหรับผู้ป่วยเด็กเหล่านี้ โดยมี Dr. Wahid AlKharusi ประธานสมาคมฯ และคณะเจ้าหน้าที่ทั้งของ OCA และ Dar Al Hanan เป็นผู้รับมอบและนำคณะจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เยี่ยมผู้ป่วยเด็กและเยี่ยมชมสถานที่และให้ข้อมูลการดำเนินงานของสมาคมฯ และบ้านพัก ซึ่งปัจจุบันสามารถเป็นบ้านพักให้ผู้ป่วยเด็กได้ครั้งละ 16 รายพร้อมครอบครัว และหมุนเวียนแก่รายอื่นตามความจำเป็น ส่งผลช่วยให้การบำบัดรักษามีลักษณะองค์รวม ทั้งความเป็นอยู่ที่ถูกสุขลักษณะปลอดเชื้อ ให้การศึกษาและการพัฒนาทักษะด้านต่างๆ แก่ผู้ป่วยเด็กไปด้วยในระหว่างการบำบัดรักษา และด้านจิตใจทั้งสำหรับเด็ก 16 รายและบิดามารดา/ครอบครัว ที่อยู่ร่วมกันให้มีโอกาสพูดคุยให้กำลังใจและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลประสบการณ์ ทั้งระหว่างกันเองและกับสังคม ส่งผลให้ผู้ป่วยมะเร็งทั้งในบ้านพักและในสังคมได้แบ่งปันประสบการณ์ในการต่อสู้มะเร็งไปด้วยกัน ไม่รู้สึกโดดเดี่ยว และขยายความตระหนักรู้ด้านมะเร็ง
ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้มอบหนังสือเกี่ยวกับพระราชกรณียกิจ และหนังสือ ”In Peace & Harmony: The Lives of Muslim Thais“ ซี่งรวมถึงภาษาอารบิก แก่ประธาน OCA ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือถึง World Cancer Congress, Summit, and Exhibition 2025 ที่สมาคมฯ จะจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 3 – 6 พฤศจิกายน 2568 ซึ่งเอกอัครราชทูตแจ้งว่าได้แจ้งโรงพยาบาลไทยบางส่วนแล้วซึ่งแสดงความสนใจและประสงค์ได้รับรายละเอียดข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมจากสมาคมฯ เพื่อประกอบการพิจารณาต่อไป
กิจกรรมจิตอาสาครั้งนี้เป็นความร่วมมือกันอย่างต่อเนื่องระหว่างสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ กับสมาคมฯ ที่ได้ให้ความอนุเคราะห์ให้บริการหน่วยเคลื่อนที่ตรวจคัดกรองมะเร็งเต้านมด้วยเครื่อง
แมมโมแกรมแก่สตรีในชุมชนไทยและโอมานโดยไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เมื่อ 28 มกราคม 2568 ในโอกาสพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงเจริญพระชนมายุเป็นสมมงคลเท่าพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราช สมเด็จพระปฐมบรมกษัตริยาธิราชแห่งพระราชวงศ์จักรี
On 21 July 2025, H.E. Ms. Warunee PAN-KRAJANG, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, with officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy in Muscat, organized an activity for public interest in participation with local organization of Oman to commemorate the Auspicious Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua 28 July 2025, by providing food and essential items for children cancer patients to Dar Al Hanan (Home away from Home) of Oman Cancer Association (OCA), which is a temporary “home" for children with cancer from other governorates, regardless of nationality, and their parents/families to make continued treatment in Muscat possible for these children. Dr. Wahid AlKharusi, President of OCA, and staff from OCA and Dar Al Hanan kindly received the Embassy's contribution and participation and led the Ambassador and Embassy staff to visit the patients and the home. Dar Al Hanan facility can accommodates 16 children with cancer at a time, together with their parents/families, providing children patients with sanitized home and good living conditions which includes education and children's skill development during cancer treatment resulting in a holistic treatment both physically and mentally. It also gives these patients and families who stay together opportunities to talk among themselves and with the society, encourage each other, exchange their experience and information which help these and other children with cancer in the society feel they are fighting cancer together, not alone, and expand cancer awareness in the society.
On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador presented books on royal duties of Their Majesties King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, and the book “In Peace & Harmony: The Lives of Muslim Thais”, which include Arabic version to Dr. Wahid and OCA. The two also discussed the World Cancer Congress, Summit, and Exhibition 2025, which the OCA will organize during 3 – 6 November 2025, on which the Ambassador stated that Thai hospitals she discussed with have expressed their interest in participating and would appreciate receiving further information for their consideration.
This activity is a continued cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and OCA which previously provided free mammography breast cancer screening services to Thai and local women in a mobile unit at the Royal Thai Embassy, on 27 January 2025 on the Occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua Attaining Same Age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (Rama I), the first monarch of the Chakri Dynasty.
