เมื่อวันที่ 21 มิถุนายน 2569 นางสาววารุณี ปั้นกระจ่าง เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมัสกัตได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการอาเซียนในกรุงมัสกัต (ASEAN Committee in Muscat - ACM) ครั้งที่ 55 ที่ประชุมได้ทบทวนกิจกรรมของ ACM ในช่วงครึ่งแรกของปีนี้ 2569 ซึ่งอุปทูตฯ สิงคโปร์ดำรงตำแหน่งเป็นประธาน ได้แก่ (1) การเข้าพบหารือ H.E. Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโอมาน เกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ในภูมิภาคและบทบาทของโอมาน เมื่อวันที่ 4 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 ซึ่งรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโอมานได้ย้ำพร้อมให้ความช่วยเหลือคนชาติอาเซียนและต่างชาติในโอมานในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน (2) การหารือแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นกับ Mr. Yousuf Mohamed Sulaiman Al Bulushi ประธาน Muscat Policy Council เกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ในภูมิภาค เมื่อวันที่ 12 มีนาคม 2569 (3) การเยี่ยมชมและแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นกับโครงการศูนย์วัฒนธรรม Sayyid Tarik bin Taimur Cultural Complex เมื่อวันที่ 13 พฤษภาคม 2569 (4) การเยี่ยมชมและแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นกับ Royal Academy of Management เมื่อวันที่ 25 พฤษภาคม 2569

ในโอกาสนี้อุปทูตฯ สิงคโปร์ได้ส่งมอบการเป็นประธานให้แก่เอกอัครราชทูตไทยซึ่งจะดำรงตำแหน่งประธาน ACM ในช่วงครึ่งหลังของปีนี้ ระหว่างเดือนกรกฎาคม - ธันวาคม 2569 เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้แสดงความมุ่งมั่นจะร่วมกับเอกอัครราชทูตและอุปทูตประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนดำเนินกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการรับรู้บทบาทของอาเซียนในโอมานและความร่วมมือระหว่างอาเซียน-โอมาน โดยได้เริ่มหารือเบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับแผนการจัดกิจกรรมในโอกาสครบรอบการก่อตั้งอาเซียนในวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2569

On 21 June 2026, H.E. Miss Warunee PAN-KRAJANG, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, attended the 55th Meeting of ASEAN Committee in Muscat (ACM) at the Embassy of Singapore. The meeting reviewed ACM activities carried out during the first half of the year under the chairmanship of Chargé d’Affaires of Singapore, including: (1) a courtesy call on H.E. Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman, to discuss regional developments and Oman’s role in the region on 4 February 2025 when the Foreign Minister affirmed that Oman stands ready to assist ACM in the protection of nationals of ASEAN member countries in emergency; (2) a meeting with Mr. Yousuf Mohamed Sulaiman Al Bulushi, Chairman of the Muscat Policy Council, on regional situation on 12 March 2026; (3) a visit to the Sayyid Tarik bin Taimur Cultural Complex on 13 May 2026; and (4) a visit to the Royal Academy of Management on 25 May 2026.

On this occasion, the Singapore Chargé d’Affaires formally handed over the ACM Chairmanship to the Thai Ambassador with Thailand assuming ACM chairmanship for the second half of this year starting from July to December 2026. The Thai Ambassador expressed her commitment to work with ACM members to promote the awareness in Oman of ASEAN's role and ASEAN-Oman cooperation and started initial discussion on possible activities to commemorate ASEAN Day on 8 August 2026 in Muscat.
