Visa Information

          Effective from 1 January 2025, 10.00 hrs. (UTC+7), a foreign national who is legally residing in the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Yemen and wishes to apply for a Thai visa must apply and submit his/her application through the new online e-Visa platform at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/. It is no longer required for the applicant to submit his/her passport and original supporting documents in person at the Royal Thai Embassy, Muscat. However, online payment is not available for this time. Payment must be made in person at the Embassy. Please print QR code for payment. After the e-Visa application has been approved, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant. The applicant is kindly requested to print a copy of the confirmation email to present to the airline at the port of departure and to Thai immigration officials in Thailand.

When to apply for a Visa

          As soon as possible as soon as possible after you plan for a trip to Thailand, but no longer then 3 month before the trip. Processing time

• for all visa applications is up to 15 working days (excluding weekends and public holidays) or Royal Thai Embassy holidays, which means within 15 working days you should see a status update on your visa application dashboard. If you receive an email requesting additional documents, please allow up to 5 working days after you submit your additional documents for your visa to be processed.
• As per regulations, the Royal Thai Embassy “cannot” issue visas to foreigners who are not Resident in Oman or Yemen. All travelers are required to apply for a visa prior to entering Thailand.
• Royal Thai Embassy officials reserve the right to request additional documents as they deem necessary and reserve the right to reject any application without giving any reason.

Visa Fee 

          Visa fee is non-refundable. Please double check all the information before paying, especially any mismatch will be rejected as the officer cannot edit any information filled in by the applicant. The applicant will have to resubmit and the visa fee is non-refundable.

Facial Image

          Facial image must be facing forward. The picture must be taken within 6 months using plain/blank/white background. Do not use photo apps that may alter your facial image. Make sure your facial image is clear, not too small/big, blurry, pixelated, older than six (6) months. Please also do not upload a photo of an already printed photo.

Validity

          **Please note that most types of Visa have a validity of 90 days, do not apply more than 3 months in advance as your Visa will expire before your traveling date**

          **A visa becomes effective from the date of issuance. If you apply too early the visa may expire before your trip and you will have to re-apply. The fee is nonrefundable**
