เมื่อวันที่ 15 มกราคม 2569 เวลา 10.00 – 12.00 น. สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมัสกัต ได้ดำเนินโครงการส่งเสริมความนิยมมวยไทยในโอมาน Muay Thai Workshop โดยความร่วมมือกับ ครูดิน ลานนาไฟติ้ง และฟิตเนสคลับที่มีชื่อเสียงและเปิดสอนคอร์สมวยไทยโดยครูมวยชาวโอมานที่ผ่านการอบรมมวยไทย (Scorpionest และ Final Round Club) แก่ชาวโอมานและชาวต่างชาติที่อาศัยอยู่ในโอมานและมีความสนใจในมวยไทย โดยมีทั้งชาย หญิง เด็ก และผู้ใหญ่ที่มีทักษะในระดับที่ต่างกัน เข้าร่วมจำนวนประมาณ 40 คน

นายวัฒนชัย นิรันดร อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษาได้กล่าวในพิธีเปิดถึงวัตถุประสงค์ในการจัดกิจกรรม ซึ่งเป็นความพยายามของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตในการส่งเสริมมวยไทยในต่างประเทศให้เป็นที่รู้จักในเชิงศิลปะป้องกันตัวที่มีความงดงามทางวัฒนธรรม เป็นกีฬาการออกกำลังกายเพื่อสุขภาพที่ทุกคนเข้าถึงได้ กิจกรรมยังมุ่งกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างไทยกับโอมานในระดับประชาชนโดยผ่านการแลกเปลี่ยนทางกีฬาและวัฒนธรรม กิจกรรมมุ่งให้ความรู้พื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับมวยไทย เรียนรู้ท่าแม่ไม้มวยไทย เทคนิค รวมถึงการไหว้ครูที่ถูกต้อง โดยมีนายวิทวัส ค้าสม หรือครูดิน ครูมวยไทยผู้ก่อตั้งค่ายลานนาไฟท์ติ้งมวยไทย อดีตผู้ฝึกสอนทีมชาติไทย และคณะผู้ช่วยฝึกสอน ได้แก่นางสาวพัชยาพร ค้าสม และนักกีฬาเยาวชน จากโรงเรียนกีฬาจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรีอีก 2 คน ร่วมเป็นวิทยากร

ทั้งนี้ ครูดินและคณะลานนาไฟติ้ง ยังได้แสดงมวยคาดเชือกและมวยโบราณ ในงานเทศกาลไทยในโอมานประจำปี 2569 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 15 – 17 มกราคม 2569 ที่สวนสาธารณะ Qurum ซึ่งได้รับความสนใจจากผู้เข้าร่วมงานเข้าชมการแสดงจำนวนมาก โดยเฉพาะเยาวชนที่มีส่วนร่วมกับกิจกรรมการเรียนท่ามวยไทยบนเวที

On 15 January 2026, 10.00 - 12.00 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy in Muscat organized a Muay Thai Workshop in Oman as part of its initiative to promote the popularity of Muay Thai in the Sultanate. The event was held in cooperation with Master Din of Lanna Fighting and Omani famous fitness clubs, which offering Muay Thai courses (Scorpionest and Final Round Club). The workshop was attended by approximately 40 participants, including Omani nationals and expatriates residing in Oman who are interested in Muay Thai. Participants included men, women, children, and adults with varying levels of experience and skill.

Mr. Wattanachai Nirundorn, Minister Counsellor, delivered opening remarks outlining the objectives of the event. He noted that the activity reflects the Embassy’s efforts to promote Muay Thai abroad as both a culturally rich martial art and accessible sport for health and fitness. The event also aimed to strengthen people-to-people ties between Thailand and Oman through sports and cultural exchange. The workshop provided fundamental knowledge of Muay Thai, including key movements and techniques and the traditional Wai Kru ritual (paying respect to the Muay Thai master's teachings). The instructors were Mr. Wittawat Kasom (Master Din), founder of Lanna Fighting Muay Thai Gym and former coach of the Thai national team, together with assistant instructors Ms. Patchayaporn Khasom and two youth athletes from Suphan Buri Sports School.

In addition, Master Din and the Lanna Fighting team performed Muay Kaad Chuek (rope-bound boxing) and traditional Muay Boran at the Thai Festival in Oman 2026, held from 15–17 January 2026 at Qurum Park. The performances attracted significant interest from festival attendees, particularly youth participants who actively joined the on-stage Muay Thai demonstration and practice session.
