เมื่อวันที่ 27 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 นายวัฒนชัย นิรันดร อุปทูตฯ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมัสกัต ได้เป็นเจ้าภาพเลี้ยงอาหารไทยละศีลอดในเดือนรอมฎอนแก่นักเรียนนักศึกษาไทยมุสลิมที่ได้รับทุนจากรัฐบาลโอมาน เพื่อพบปะพูดคุยกับเจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตระหว่างรับประทานอาหารร่วมกัน โดยใช้โอกาสนี้สอบถามถึงชีวิตความเป็นอยู่การดำรงชีวิตและการศึกษาในโอมาน รวมถึงแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับการร่วมกิจกรรมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตในอนาคต ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตจัดต่อเนื่องทุกปี

ปัจจุบันมีนักเรียนไทยศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายที่สถาบัน Institute of Islamic Sciences จำนวน 12 คน และนักศึกษาไทยที่มหาวิทยาลัย College of Shari'a Sciences จำนวน 2 คน โดยทุนของรัฐบาลโอมาน

On 27 February 2026, Mr. Wattanachai Nirundorn, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Muscat, hosted a Thai iftar dinner during the holy month of Ramadan for Thai Muslim students who are recipients of scholarships from the Government of Oman. The event provided an opportunity for the students to meet and engage in discussions with Embassy officials. On this occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. inquired about their well-being, daily life, and academic experiences in Oman, and exchanged views on potential future activities with the Embassy. This annual event has been organized continuously by the Embassy.

At present, there are 12 Thai students studying at the Institute of Islamic Sciences and 2 Thai students at the College of Shari'a Sciences under scholarships granted by the Government of Oman.
