เมื่อวันที่ 2 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 นางสาววารุณี ปั้นกระจ่าง เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมัสกัต ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ H.E. Salim bin Mohammed bin Said Al Mahroqi รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมและการท่องเที่ยว เพื่อแนะนำตัวในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ ทั้งสองฝ่ายแสดงความยินดีต่อกันในโอกาสที่มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติของแต่ละฝ่ายได้รับการจารึกในบัญชีของ UNESCO เมื่อวันที่ 3 ธันวาคม 2567 ในส่วนของไทย อาทิ ต้มยำกุุ้ง ในส่วนของโอมาน อาทิ เรือฝึกอบรมเยาวชนด้านการเดินเรือ  และทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือศักยภาพที่จะเพิ่มจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวระหว่างกัน โดยโอมานอยู่ระหว่างการตั้งสำนักงานในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์และส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวโอมาน ซึ่งในส่วนของไทยมีสำนักงาน ททท. ณ นครดูไบ ประชาสัมพันธ์ส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวไทยในภูมิภาคตะวันออกกลางและแอฟริกา ทั้งนี้ ไทยและโอมานได้ลงนามบันทึกความเข้าใจว่าด้วยสาขาความร่วมมือด้านการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างกันตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2548 ซึ่งปัจจุบันกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวของทั้งสองฝ่ายอยู่ระหว่างพิจารณาจัดทำแผนงานความร่วมมือระหว่างกันภายใต้กรอบบันทึกความเข้าใจดังกล่าว เอกอัครราชทูตไทยและรัฐมนตรีโอมานได้แสดงความพร้อมเป็นอีกช่องทางหนึ่งในการประสานงานความร่วมมือด้านมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมและการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างไทย-โอมาน ในโอกาสนี้ทั้งสองยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนของที่ระลึกทางวัฒนธรรม ได้แก่ หนังสือเกี่ยวกับอาหารไทยและอาหารโอมานระหว่างกันอีกด้วย

On 2 February 2025, H.E. Ms. Warunee Pan-krajang, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Salim bin Mohammed bin Said Al Mahroqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, on the occasion of her assumption of duty. The two sides congratulated the inscription of their intangible cultural heritages of humanity on the UNESCO list, which include Thai famous "Tomyum Kung" and Omani Youth Sail Training Ship. They discussed the potential to increase the number of tourists between the two countries, as Oman is in the process of establishing a representative office in Southeast Asian Region to promote Omani tourism among tourists in the region, while Thailand currently has its Office of Tourism Authority of Thailand in Dubai to promote Thai tourism among tourists from the Middle East and African Region. Thailand and Oman signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Tourism since 2005. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand and the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman are considering a cooperation framework under this MoU. The Thai Ambassador and the Omani Minister expressed their readiness to be another channel for cooperation in tourism between Thailand and Oman. On this occasion, the two sides also exchanged their cultural gifts which are books on Thai food and Omani food.
