On 19 January 2025, H.E. Ms. Warunee Pan-krajang, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Saud bin Hamood bin Ahmed Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, on the occasion of her assumption of duty and continued channel for coordination. The Ministries of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand and Oman are finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in agriculture and fisheries. The Thai side has extended its cooperation in aquaculture. The two sides discussed promoting expansion of import of agricultural and food products from Thailand to Oman, exchanging trade statistics, investment opportunity for Thailand in the processed food industry in Oman, academic cooperation, recognition of Halal standards and Oman delegation to visit Thailand. The Ambassador also provided information on Thailand's Halal Industry Center and invited the Omani side to visit food exhibition THAIFEX ANUGA ASIA 2025 in Thailand in May 2025.
