เมื่อวันที่ 21 มกราคม 2568 นางสาววารุณี ปั้นกระจ่าง เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมัสกัต ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ H.E. Ms. Ana Escrogima เอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐฯ ประจำโอมานในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ ทั้งสองแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลการค้าการลงทุนและความสัมพันธ์ไทย-โอมาน และสหรัฐฯ-โอมาน แผนงานกิจกรรมที่แต่ละฝ่ายให้ความสำคัญ ซึ่งภารกิจที่เอกอัครราชทูตไทยให้ความสำคัญรวมถึงการคุ้มครองคนไทยในเยเมน ประสบการณ์ที่เอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐฯ เคยปฏิบัติหน้าที่ความสัมพันธ์สหรัฐฯ-เยเมน ประสบการณ์ที่เอกอัครราขทูตไทยเคยปฏิบัติหน้าที่ความสัมพันธ์ไทย-สหรัฐฯ อาทิ การเจรจาความตกลง
เขตการค้าเสรี Creative Partnership และความร่วมมือต่อต้านการค้ามนุษย์ ซึ่งไทยดำเนินความร่วมมือเหล่านี้กับประเทศต่าง ๆ เช่นกัน ซึ่งสถานเอกอัครราชทูตไทยมีความร่วมมือต่อต้านการค้ามนุษย์กับฝ่ายโอมานและพร้อมร่วมมือกับทุกฝ่ายเพื่อคุ้มครองคนไทย เอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐฯ ยินดีสนับสนุนและร่วมมือด้านต่างๆ ดังกล่าวแก่เอกอัครราชทูตไทยเช่นกัน ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแลกเปลี่ยนเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ในภูมิภาค บทบาทของสหรัฐฯ โอมาน และประเทศต่าง ๆ ในการเจรจาข้อตกลงหยุดยิง/การปล่อยตัวประกันที่เริ่มมีการปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงซึ่งมีการปล่อยตัวประกันอิสราเอล 3 คน ซึ่งหนึ่งรายมีสัญชาติอิสราเอล-สหรัฐฯ ไทยหวังว่าตัวประกันไทยและสัญชาติอื่นจะได้รับการปล่อยตัวต่อไป และทั้งสองฝ่ายแสดงความพร้อมส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ไทย-สหรัฐฯ

On 21 January 2025, H.E. Ms. Warunee Pan-krajang, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ms. Ana Escrogima, U.S. Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, on the occasion of her assumption of duty. The two exchanged information on Thailand-Oman and US-Oman relations on trade and investment, priorities and activities of the two embassies, which for Thailand includes protection of Thai nationals in Yemen. They discussed the U.S. Ambassador’s experience in U.S.-Yemen relations, the Thai Ambassador’s experience in Thai-U.S. relations which included Free Trade Agreement negotiation, Creative Partnership, and anti-human trafficking cooperation, the areas of which Thailand has also been working with other countries. The Thai Ambasหador mentioned that the Royal Thai Embassy cooperates with the Oman side on anti-human trafficking and is ready to cooperate with other parties to protect Thai nationals. The U.S. Ambassador expressed readiness to support and cooperates with the Thai Ambassador in these areas.  Both sides also discussed the situation in the region, the role of the U.S., Oman and other countries in the ceasefire negotiations and release of hostages, the implementation of which has started resulting in the release of 3 Israeli hostages, one of whom is an Israeli-U.S. national. Thailand hopes that the Thai hostages and hostages of all nationalities will be released. Both sides expressed their readiness to promote Thailand - U.S. relations.
