เมื่อวันที่ 7 พฤษภาคม 2569 นางสาววารุณี ปั้นกระจ่าง เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมัสกัตได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการอาเซียนในกรุงมัสกัต (ASEAN Committee in Muscat - ACM) ครั้งที่ 54 ซึ่งมีอุปทูตฯ สิงคโปร์ เป็นประธาน ที่ประชุมได้หารือแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและมุมมองเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ปัจจุบันในภูมิภาค บทบาทของโอมานในการเจรจาการเดินเรือผ่านช่องแคบฮอร์มุซ และศักยภาพในการเป็นเส้นทางเลือกในการขนส่งสินค้าระหว่างประเทศ ที่ประชุมได้หารือถึงแผนการจัดกิจกรรมของคณะกรรมการอาเซียนในกรุงมัสกัต รวมถึงได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการเยือนโอมานของผู้แทนระดับสูงของไทย สิงคโปร์ และฟิลิปปินส์ ในช่วงเดือนที่ผ่านมา

ภายหลังการประชุม อุปทูตฯ สิงคโปร์ ได้เป็นเจ้าภาพเลี้ยงอาหารกลางวันแก่คณะกรรมการอาเซียนฯ และคู่สมรส เพื่อเป็นการอำลาแก่เอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซียซึ่งมีกำหนดจะพ้นหน้าที่ในเดือนมิถุนายน 2569

On 7 May 2026, H.E. Miss Warunee PAN-KRAJANG, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, attended the 54^th Meeting of ASEAN Committee in Muscat (ACM) chaired by the Chargé d’Affaires of Singapore. The meeting discussed and exchanged views on the current situation in the region, Oman’s role in negotiating maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, and Oman’s potential as an alternative route for international logistics. The meeting also discussed plans for upcoming activities of the ASEAN Committee in Muscat and exchanged information regarding recent visits to Oman by high-level representatives of Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines during the past month.

Following the meeting, the Chargé d’Affaires of Singapore hosted a luncheon for members of the ASEAN Committee and their spouses to bid a farewell for the Ambassador of Indonesia, who will complete his term in June 2026.
