Thai Festival in Oman 2025
Experience the charm of Thai identity and immerse in the authentic atmosphere
28 - 30 August 2025 at Oman Convention and Exhibition Center (OCEC)

The Royal Thai Embassy in Muscat together with Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thai Trade Office, Thai businesses and Thai community in Oman invite local community of Oman to the annual event "Thai Festival in Oman 2025" 28 - 30 August 2025 at Oman Convention and Exhibition Center (OCEC), Atrium, Ground Floor.  With free admission, local community will enjoy Thai films "The Gift", "Under the Wings of Dream" and "Letter from the Sun", Thai cultural performances by "Praneat Thai" imported from Thailand presenting 9 shows "The Sound of Lanna", "Bangkok Joyful", "Southern Breeze", "Amazing Thailand", "Candlelight of Chiang Mai", "E-SAN Flavors", "The Pink Lotus", "Loy Krathong Sukhothai" and "Songkran Water Festival", starting from the evening of Thursday 28 August at 15.30 hrs. to 22.00 hrs., continuing on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August 2025 from 14.00 to 22.00 hrs. Of course, famous authentic Thai food including "Pad Thai" (Thailand’s world-famous stir-fried with tamarin sauce noodle dish with shrimp, tofu and peanuts), "Tom Yum Koong" (Thai spicy and sour prawn soup - UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage), "Som Tam" (Thai-style papaya salad, a perfect balance of sour, sweet, salty, and spicy flavors), and many other Thai dishes, tasty Thai ice cream made of renowned Thai iced tea and Thai tropical fruits, freeze-dried Thai fruits products such as freeze-dried durian, mango, mangosteen, tamarind and jackfruit, Thai desserts, boat noodle and other meal kits as well as cultural and creative products including Thai designed jewelries, Thai interior design, Thai herbal, spa, skincare and cosmetics products, Thai textile imported from Thailand will also be available at the festival. DIY workshop on "Bo Sang umbrella painting" (Bo Sang's renowned umbrella-making tradition) and other activities for children will make the festival a fun experience for the whole family.

Thai Films

Discover stories of Thai ways of life through the lens of Thai cinema.

Three Thai films will be presented to you and your entire family with English subtitle. To give you now an idea, in Arabic, of what our films are all about - "A Gift" is a film dedicated to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great of Thailand, presenting three songs of Forty-Eight compositions of His Majesty the King. One of the three songs in this film is “New Year Greeting” which His Majesty composed as a gift for the people of Thailand to celebrate New Year. The Embassy wishes this film will foster a connection between the Peoples of Thailand and Oman as we share the sentiment of having our monarchs who are not only dedicated to sustainable development of their respective country and people but also creates gifts of art to their citizens. The other two songs are "Love at Sundown" and "Still on My Mind" - the Film "A Gift" so divided into three parts.

“Under the Wings of Dream” – A film presenting UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage “Khon” Masked Performing Art of Thailand.

“Letter from the Sun” – a film presenting Yan-Li Pao handicraft and art of Thailand, also tourism in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province of Thailand.
