เมื่อวันที่ 5 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 นางสาววารุณี ปั้นกระจ่าง เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมัสกัต ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ H.E. Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili ประธานสภาที่ปรึกษาของโอมาน ในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ ประธานสภาที่ปรึกษาได้กล่าวต้อนรับและอวยพรให้เอกอัครราชทูตประสบความสำเร็จในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ เอกอัครราชทูตตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของสภาที่ปรึกษาในการสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานของรัฐบาลในการพัฒนาประเทศเพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมาย ในกรณีของโอมานได้แก่ Oman Vision 2040 แจ้งข้อมูลการลงทุนของไทยในโอมานในอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเลียม อุตสาหกรรมสีเขียว บริการทางการแพทย์ และโรงแรม ทั้งสองหารือความสัมพันธ์ระดับประชาชนซึ่งมีแนวโน้มนักท่องเที่ยวระหว่างกันเพิ่มมากขึ้น โดยตั้งแต่วันที่ 15 กรกฎาคม 2568 ไทยยกเว้นการตรวจลงตราเพื่อการท่องเที่ยว ทำงาน หรือติดต่อธุรกิจระยะสั้นไม่เกิน 60 วัน แก่ 93 ประเทศ รวมถึงโอมาน ขยายได้อีก 30 วันซึ่งเป็นการอำนวยความสะดวกแก่ผู้ที่เดินทางไปรักษาพยาบาลที่ประเทศไทยด้วย ทั้งสองฝ่ายแสดงความพร้อมเป็นช่องทางประสานความร่วมมือเพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ไทย-โอมานต่อไป

On 5 February 2025, H.E. Warunee Pan-krajang, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, on the occasion of her assumption of duty. The Chairman kindly welcomed and wished the Ambassador success in her work.

The Ambassador emphasized the importance of the State Council in supporting the government to achieve the Oman Vision 2040. She also shared information about Thai investment in Oman in oil and gas, green supply chain, medical services, and hotels. The two discussed strong people-to-people relations, with growing numbers of tourists, between Thailand and Oman. Thailand's new visa scheme effective 15 July 2024 allowing Omani and nationals of 92 other countries/territories to enter and stay in Thailand for the purpose of tourism, business engagements and urgent/ad-hoc work for up to 60 days without visas, extensible for additional 30 days, which also facilitates those who goes to Thailand for medical treatment. Both sides expressed readiness to work together to strengthen Thailand-Oman relations.
