เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวเทอดพระเกียรติน้อมรำลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอันหาที่สุดมิได้ของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ซึ่งทรงปฏิบัติพระราชกรณียกิจนานัปการในด้านพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของพสกนิกรชาวไทยในถิ่นทุรกันดาร โดยเฉพาะการส่งเสริมศิลปาชีพ ซึ่งเป็นทั้งการส่งเสริมอาชีพหัตถกรรมพื้นบ้านช่วยสร้างรายได้แก่พสกนิกร และเป็นการอนุรักษ์ศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทย มรดกอันทรงคุณค่าที่ทรงพระราชทานให้แก่แผ่นดินไทย ด้วยการทรงทุ่มเทพระวรกายตลอดพระชนม์ชีพเพื่อพสกนิกรชาวไทยนี้ จึงทรงสถิตย์ในดวงใจชาวไทยตราบนิรันดร์

 

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวให้ผู้ร่วมงานชาวต่างชาติเข้าใจประเพณีลอยกระทง ที่สะท้อนการตระหนักถึงคุณค่าของทรัพยากรน้ำ ความกลมกลืนของวิถีชีวิตชาวไทยกับธรรมชาติและวัฒนธรรม และได้กล่าวขอบคุณโรงแรม Anantara ตลอดจนผู้บริหารโรงแรม พนักงานชาวไทย และเชฟจากประเทศไทยที่ได้จัดกิจกรรมนี้ ซึ่งไม่เพียงส่งเสริมเผยแพร่วัฒนธรรมประเพณีที่ดีงามของไทย ยังเป็นการส่งเสริมความเข้าใจกระชับความสัมพันธ์ที่แน่นแฟ้นระหว่างไทยกับโอมานด้วย

 

On 6 November 2025, H.E. Ms. Warunee PAN-KRAJANG, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, attended the Loy Krathong Thai Food Festival held at Anantara, Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, from 6–12 November showcasing Thailand’s Loy Krathong tradition and authentic Thai cuisine prepared by Thai chefs from Thailand to international and Omani guests. On this occasion, The Ambassador delivered opening remarks of the festival and met with the hotel’s management team, as well as Thai chefs and spa staffs who presented Thai cultural performances related to Loy Krathong festival during the dinner.

 

The Ambassador took a moment to remember with deep respect and affection Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother of the Kingdom of Thailand, who passed away at age 93 on October 24, 2025. Over half a century, alongside His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, Her Majesty has been a symbol of grace, compassion and simplicity. Her Majesty tireless work in preserving Thai craftsmanship, promoting traditional Thai silk, and supporting rural communities has uplifted the lives of Thai people particularly in the remote rural areas and ensured that Thai cultural heritage continues to flourish across generations. Her Majesty’s lifelong devotion to the Thai people will continue to inspire them and she will be remembered in the people’s heart forever.

 

In many ways, Her Majesty’s spirit of compassion and care mirrors the spirit of the Loy Krathong festival — a harmony between people, nature, and culture. Loy Krathong is the time when Thais express appreciation to the Goddess of Water for her life-giving blessings, and also a moment to let go of negative thoughts and misfortunes — floating them away with the krathong, the delicate baskets of flowers and candlelight. It is a moment of reflection, forgiveness, and new beginnings.

 

The Ambassador extended her sincere appreciation to the Anantara Hotel for hosting this event and the continuous efforts in promoting Thai culture and hospitality to friends from Oman and around the world which help to strengthen the bonds of friendship between Thailand and Oman.
