On 8 May 2025 H.E. Miss Warunee PAN-KRAJANG, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, welcomed H.E. Mrs. Sumaira A Chowdhury, Representative of UNICEF to the Sultanate of Oman, commending UNICEF's contribution to peace, stability and sustainable development of the world and the Middle East. The Representative shared UNICEF's operation and collaboration with relevant sectors of Oman. The Ambassador shared the Embassy‘s operation including its task in the protection of Thai nationals in Oman and Yemen and found UNICEF's experience in logistics work in Salalah and Yemen helpful for the task. The two also discussed Thailand and UN's role in the area of Human Rights promotion. The two sides expressed their readiness to be another channel of Thailand-UNICEF collaboration in addition to direct channel through UNICEF Regional Office for East Asia and the Pacific located in Bangkok.
