เมื่อวันที่ 23 กันยายน 2569 นางสาววารุณี ปั้นกระจ่าง เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมัสกัต ได้เข้าเฝ้าฯ อำลา His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq al Said รองนายกรัฐมนตรีด้านความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศและผู้แทนสุลต่านแห่งโอมาน และถวายบังคมลาสุลต่านแห่งโอมาน ในโอกาสสิ้นสุดการหน้าที่

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ กล่าวขอบคุณรัฐสุลต่านโอมาน กระทรวงการต่างประเทศโอมาน และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง สำหรับความร่วมมือและการสนับสนุนตลอดระยะเวลาที่ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ ทำให้ความสัมพันธ์ ไทย-โอมาน มีความก้าวหน้าอย่างต่อเนื่อง มีการแลกเปลี่ยนการเยือนระดับสูง รวมถึงการเยือนไทยอย่างเป็นทางการของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโอมานพร้อมคณะนักธุรกิจโอมานต้นปีหน้า ซึ่งจะช่วยส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในสาขาสำคัญนำมาซึ่งประโยชน์ร่วมกันและความเจริญรุ่งเรืองของทั้งสองประเทศ

ไทยและโอมานมีแนวคิดในทิศทางเดียวกัน ต่างยึดมั่นในกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศ การทูตและการระงับข้อพิพาทโดยสันติวิธี มีนโยบายการต่างประเทศที่เป็นกลาง ดำเนินบทบาทสะพานเชื่อมฝ่ายที่เห็นต่างให้สามารถหันหน้าหารือกัน แม้สงครามภูมิภาคตะวันออกกลางในปีนี้ไม่ควรเกิดขึ้นตั้งแต่ต้น แต่ตนก็รู้สึกเป็นเกียรติที่ได้รับหน้าที่ในรัฐสุลต่านโอมานในช่วงเวลานี้เนื่องจากได้ประจักษ์ด้วยตนเองถึงบทบาทและความพยายามอย่างสูงของโอมานในการนำทุกฝ่ายให้หันหน้าเข้าสู่การหารือทางการทูตเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาความขัดแย้งแทนการใช้กำลัง ราชอาณาจักรไทยขอบคุณรัฐสุลต่านโอมานที่ได้ช่วยชีวิตลูกเรือไทยที่ถูกโจมตีในช่วงสงครามดังกล่าว

รองนายกรัฐมนตรีด้านความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศและผู้แทนสุลต่านแห่งโอมานทรงกล่าวขอบคุณไทยที่สนับสนุนท่าทีของโอมานในเวทีสหประชาชาติและเวทีระหว่างประเทศ และทรงกล่าวถึงความสัมพันธ์ที่ใกล้ชิดระหว่างโอมานกับไทย โดยเฉพาะความสัมพันธ์ในระดับประชาชน เห็นว่าทั้งสองประเทศยังสามารถร่วมมือกันได้อีกมากในด้านสาธารณสุข การเกษตรและประมง พร้อมทั้งทรงฝากความปรารถนาดีแก่รัฐบาลไทยและประชาชนชาวไทยในโอกาสดังกล่าวด้วย

On 23 September 2026, H.E. Ms. Warunee Pan-krajang, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, was graciously granted an audience with His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Relations and International Affairs and Representative of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman to bid farewell to His Majesty the Sultan of Oman on the occasion of the completion of her tenure.

The Thai Ambassador expressed her sincere appreciation to the Sultanate of Oman, the Foreign Ministry, and all sectors of the Sultanate for their support and cooperation throughout her tenure leading to growing momentum in Thailand–Oman relations, as reflected in a number of significant developments, exchanges of high-level visits including the forthcoming official visit to Thailand of the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate with Omani business delegation early next year which will further cooperation across focus sectors, contributing to mutual benefits and prosperity for both countries.

The Thai Ambassador noted that Thailand and Oman are like minded countries. Both are committed to international law, dialogues and negotiations, and peaceful settlement of disputes with constructive role as bridge builders. The regional conflict this year should not have occurred in the first place, however, serving in the Sultanate during this period has given her opportunity to witness Oman’s efforts and dedication in bringing all parties to dialogues and negotiations to peacefully settling the differences. The Kingdom of Thailand appreciated the Sultanate of Oman for saving Thai crew members of the Thai vessel attacked during the conflict.

His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation to the Kingdom of Thailand for supporting the Sultanate of Oman’s positions at the United Nations and in other international fora. He highlighted close ties between Oman and Thailand, particularly people-to-people relations and noted that there remains potential areas for further cooperation between the two countries, particularly in public health, agriculture, and fisheries.

On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister and Representative of His Majesty the Sultan also conveyed his best wishes to the Royal Thai Government and the People of Thailand.
