On November 10, 2025, H.E. Ms. Warunee PAN-KRAJANG, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, attended the opening ceremony of the 2nd World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA) Middle East LPG Summit and Expo held at the Oman Exhibition and Convention Centre (the first edition was held in Riyadh). The event was hosted by the WLGA under the patronage of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of Oman and presided over by H.E. Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.

 

The Summit and Expo gathered key stakeholders across LPG value chain from the Middle East and worldwide to discuss market trends, investment opportunities, and innovations in the LPG industry — Liquefied Petroleum Gas, used in households, industries, and vehicles. The event featured policy-level discussions, workshops, exhibitions by over 80 companies across the globe including Thailand and business networking opportunities.

 

On this occasion, the Minister of Commerce, together with the Ambassador, visited the exhibition and expressed readiness to support the Thai companies participating in this event in doing business with Oman, which includes Sahamitr Pressure Container, global leader in LPG cylinder manufacturing, Siam Cement Group (SCG) and Cavagna Group, an Italian company with a production base in Thailand specializing in the manufacture of valves and cylinder equipment.

 

The event highlighted Oman’s emerging role as a major LPG supplier, with the surging LPG output, underscoring the progress of Oman Vision 2040 in promoting economic diversification. It also reflected the regional commitment focusing on innovation, technological advancement, and sustainable development in the LPG industry.
