เอกอัครราชทูตยินดีที่ได้พบรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทยซี่งกำกับดูแลความสงบเรียบร้อยในโอมานร่วมกับหลายหน่วยงานของโอมาน เนื่องจากเอกอัครราชทูตก็มีภารกิจดูแลชุมชนไทยในโอมาน ซึ่งที่ผ่านมาจนถึงปัจจุบันชุมชนไทยได้มีส่วนร่วมกับโอมานในการพัฒนาไปสู่เป้าหมายของวิสัยทัศน์โอมาน ค.ศ. 2040 อาทิ ปตท.สผ. ซึ่งลงทุนในโอมานมาแล้วกว่า 20 ปีและเป็นหุ้นส่วนระยะยาวต่อไปในอนาคตทั้งในด้านน้ำมัน ก๊าซธรรมชาติ ก๊าซธรรมชาติเหลว ไฮโดรเจนสีเขียว และอยู่ระหว่างหารือเพิ่มความร่วมมือในการพัฒนาบุคลากรในสาขาพลังงานของทั้งสองฝ่าย โรงแรมไทยในโอมาน โรงพยาบาลไทยในโอมานซึ่งเป็นทั้งศูนย์ฟื้นฟูสุขภาพ กายภาพบำบัดและจุดติดต่อสำหรับชาวโอมานกับโรงพยาบาลในไทย ร้านอาหารไทยในโอมาน ฯลฯ รัฐมนตรีว่าการฯ ให้ข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือที่ไทยและโอมานอาจมีระหว่างกันเพื่อช่วยพัฒนาศูนย์ฟื้นฟูสุขภาพฯ ของโอมานเองด้วย ซึ่งเอกอัครราชทูตก็ได้รับแจ้งความประสงค์ของฝ่ายโอมานในด้านการบริหารจัดการโรงแรมของไทยเช่นกัน

 

ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตได้มอบสำเนาเอกสารข้อสังเกตเกี่ยวกับสิ่งที่เกิดต่อบางส่วนของชุมชนไทยบนดินแดนของโอมานตามที่ได้ส่งต้นฉบับแจ้งกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและสำนักงานตำรวจโอมานแล้วเพื่อฝ่ายโอมานตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริง/เครือข่ายและดำเนินการที่เกี่ยวข้องโดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ พร้อมร่วมมือกับฝ่ายโอมานเพื่อประโยชน์ร่วมกันในการรักษาความสงบเรียบร้อยของชุมชนของทั้งสองฝ่ายและเกียรติภูมิของทั้งสองประเทศ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทยยินดีร่วมมือโดยขอให้แจ้งกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโอมาน ซึ่งเอกอัครราชทูตได้ดำเนินการแล้วและที่ผ่านมาได้รับความร่วมมือจากฝ่ายที่เกี่ยวข้องของโอมาน หวังว่าจะได้รับความร่วมมือจากกระทรวงมหาดไทยเช่นกัน เอกอัครราชทูตเชื่อมั่นในอำนาจหน้าที่ของกระทรวงมหาดไทยและการข่าวของโอมาน รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทยให้ความสำคัญกับประชาชนว่าเป็นรากฐานของประเทศ และได้กล่าวถึงการเยือนไทยของชาวโอมานจำนวนมากว่าสะท้อนความสัมพันธ์อันใกล้ชิดระหว่างไทย-โอมาน ซี่งเอกอัครราชทูตเห็นพ้องส่งเสริมปฏิสัมพันธ์อย่างสร้างสรรค์

 

เอกอัครราชทูตแจ้งว่ามีแผนจะส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านต่างๆ ไปพร้อมๆ กัน อาทิ โครงการนำคณะโอมานเยือนไทยเพื่อเยี่ยมชมและพบหารือกับภาคอุตสาหกรรมอาหารของไทยตามผลการหารือกับรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงเกษตร ประมงและทรัพยากรน้ำของโอมานก่อนหน้านี้ ซึ่งได้แจ้งกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโอมานแล้ว และจะพบหารือรองปลัดกระทรวงพาณิชย์ อุตสาหกรรมและการลงทุนของโอมานต่อไป แผนจัดเสวนาทางวิชาการกับสถาบันการทูตของโอมานเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับบทบาทของไทยและของโอมานในการเสริมสร้างสันติภาพและเสถียรภาพในภูมิภาคของแต่ละฝ่าย รวมทั้งมีความคิดจะนำคณะซิมโฟนีเยาวชนไทยมาแสดงในโอมานโดยจะหารือความเป็นไปได้กับฝ่ายที่เกี่ยวข้องของโอมานต่อไป รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทยโอมานอวยพรให้เอกอัครราชทูตประสบความสำเร็จและยินดีสนับสนุน

 

On 14 May 2025, H.E. Ms. Warunee Pan-krajang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal bin Said Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior of the Sultanate of Oman, on the occasion of assuming her duty. H.E. Minister of Interior welcome the Ambassador to the Sultanate. The Ambassador expressed her gratitude for warm welcome and all supports and cooperation she had been receiving from all Omani authorities since she arrived in October last year. The Ambassador expressed her commitment to further strengthen Thailand-Oman diplomatic relations which reached its 45th anniversary this year in all aspects and at all levels. H.E. Minister extended his support to the Ambassador in performing her duty in Oman for mutual benefits of both country.

 

H.E. the Ambassador was honored to meet and discuss with H.E. Minister of Interior who oversaw public order in the Sultanate as she herself also oversaw Thai community in Oman which had long been working closely with the Oman side, being part of Oman's development towards Oman Vision 2040. Thai community in Oman included PTTEP (Petroleum Authority of Thailand Exploration and Production) which had been investing in Oman for more than 20 years in oil, natural gas, LNG, green hydrogen and just started discussing cooperation in their human resources development in this field. PTTEP's long-term partnership with Omani counterparts reflected in extention of concessions/contracts for many more years from now. Thai community in Oman also included Thai Hotels in Oman, Thai restaurants and Thai Hospitals' presence in Oman in form of centers for rehabiltitation/physiotherapy/contact points for Omani patients who wish to receive/had received medical treatment from these hospitals in Thailand. H.E. Minister shared his view on possible Thailand-Oman cooperations in the development of Omani rehabilitation/physiotherapy centers. The Ambassador mentioned she received views on possible Thailand-Oman cooperation in hotel management as well.

 

The Ambassador took this opportunity to deliver copy of her notes - the original of which had already been sent to Foreign Affairs Ministry of Oman and the Royal Oman Police - on her observations on irregularities took place to part of Thai community in the territory Oman, requesting Omani authorities' kind verification of facts/network and necessary actions. The Ambassador expressed her willingness to work closely with the Omani authorities for mutual benefits in maintaining public order in communities of both sides and dignity of the two countries. H.E. Minister extended his willingness to cooperate for mutual benefits provided that the matter sent through Foreign Affairs Ministry. The Ambassador informed that the originals were earlier sent to Foreign Affairs Ministry and ROP and she received cooperation from Omani authorities concerned and wished to receive the same from Ministry of interior. The Ambassador expressed confidence in the authority of Ministry of Interior and the intelligence of Oman. H.E. Minister believed in people as it is foundation of a country and the fact that large number of Omanis' visit to Thailand reflected close relations between Thailand and Oman which the Ambassador could not agree more on promoting constructive relationship.

 

The Ambassador informed H.E. Minister of Interior of plans to further cooperation in all aspects simultaneously which includes project to bring an Omani delegation to Thailand to meet with Thai food industry following earlier discussion between the Ambassador and H.E. Minister of Agriculture, Fishery and Water Resources of Oman to put initiatives into reality, plan to co-organise with Diplomatic Academy an academic session exchanging views and experience between Thailand and Oman in promoting peace and stability in their respective regions and a plan to bring Thai youth symphony to perform in Oman which she would discuss with Foreign Affairs Ministry and relevant Omani authorities.

H.E. Minister wished the Ambassador success in performing her duty.
