เมื่อวันที่ 16 – 17 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 น.ส. วารุณี ปั้นกระจ่าง เอกอัครราชทูต ได้ให้การต้อนรับนายรัศม์ ชาลีจันทร์ ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ หัวหน้าคณะผู้แทนไทยซึ่งเดินทางมาเข้าร่วมการประชุม Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) ครั้งที่ 8 หัวข้อ Voyage to New Horizons of Maritime Partnership ณ กรุงมัสกัต ตามคำเชิญของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโอมานที่มีถึงฝ่ายไทย การประชุมจัดโดย India Foundation ร่วมกับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโอมานและกระทรวงการต่างประเทศอินเดีย เป็นเวทีพูดคุยอย่างสร้างสรรค์และเปิดกว้างและในประเด็นเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือทางทะเล

นอกจากการประชุมระหว่างประเทศข้างต้น ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้ใช้โอกาสนี้หารือทวิภาคีไทย-โอมาน กับ Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthy รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศโอมาน ทั้งสองฝ่ายแสดงความพร้อมกระชับความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือด้านต่าง ๆ ระหว่างไทย-โอมาน ซึ่งครบรอบ 45 ปีความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตในปี 2568 นี้ การประชุมหารือระหว่างกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ไทย-โอมาน ครั้งที่ 2 ที่กรุงมัสกัต สถานการณ์ในภูมิภาคและความร่วมมือพหุภาคี

ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศยังได้หารือกับนาย Indra Mani Pandey เลขาธิการบิมสเทค เกี่ยวกับการทึ่ไทยจะเป็นเจ้าภาพการจัดประชุมผู้นำบิมสเทคและการประชุมที่เกี่ยวข้อง ในเดือนเมษายน 2568 ด้วย

On 16 - 17 February 2025, H.E. Warunee Pan-krajang, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, welcomed H.E. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, who led the Thai delegation to attend the 8^th Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) under the theme “Voyage to new Horizons of Maritime Partnership” in Muscat. The conference was organised by the Indian Foundation in association with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman and the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India for constructive and inclusive discussions on maritime cooperation issues.

On this occasion, Thailand-Oman bilateral meeting also took place between Thai Vice Minister and Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthy, Undersecretary for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman. Both sides reviewed the close bilateral relations, which celebrates 45^th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year 2025, and discussed ways to strengthen relations and expand cooperations in all areas, including the 2^nd Political Consultation in Muscat. Both sides also reviewed regional developments and ways to promote multilateral cooperation.

There was also the meeting between Thai Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs and Mr. Indra Mani Pandey, Secretary-General of BIMSTEC on the preparation of BIMSTEC Summit and related meetings to be held in Thailand in April 2025 was arranged on this occasion.
